Slow Cooked Lemon Chicken

This low-calorie recipe is quick to prepare and will smell wonderful while it cooks!


6 bone-in, skinless chicken breast halves

1tsp chicken bouillon granules

1tsp dried oregano

1/4tsp pepper

½ tsp seasoned salt

2tbsp butter

3tbsp lemon juice

¼ cup water

2tsp chopped fresh parsley

2 crushed garlic cloves


  1. Dry chicken with paper towels and mix salt, pepper and oregano together. Rub mix over chicken. Heat a skillet over medium heat and brown chicken in butter.
  2. Transfer chicken to a 5-quart slow cooker. Add lemon juice, water, bouillon, and garlic to skillet and bring to boil, stirring to loosen any brown bits before pouring over chicken.
  3. Cook chicken on low for 5 to 6 hours. Baste with cooking juices and add parsley. Continue cooking for another 15 to 30 minutes until chicken is thoroughly cooked. If needed, thicken juices before serving with chicken. This recipe is great over rice!
